ABB  Automation World 2008 focuses on productivity, energy usage

April 28, 2008 --  Automation World, the largest cutomer event hosted by ABB, will showcase technology, services and innovations to help industrial companies and utilities improve their productivity and energy usage. The three-day show runs through May 1 in Houston, Texas.

The event is designed for industrial power and automation industry end-users and decision makers. Some 2,500 customers, channel partners and ABB employees from each of the five divisions are expected to attend the conference and exhibition, which is among the largest single-company automation fairs in the world.

Workshops and Technical Training Tracks: This year attendees can choose to attend any number of the 350 workshops that have been scheduled. Topics range from industry issues, to free technical training, to customer case studies. Participants will learn about everything from the most recent direct-current transmission technology to how to meet seismic standards with drive controls for motors. The presentations will be made by ABB professionals as well as customers. Each workshop will include a question and answer portion.
